Kelly McGuill
As my husband and I think more and more about downsizing, I imagine leaving bold colors, dark furniture, and oriental carpets behind for a cleaner and lighter look. The work of Kelly McGuill speaks to me. Her open, light and warm style is appealing to the senses, and lends itself to small spaces as well as larger homes.
See for yourself in the following photos how the bare wood floors, graced with neutral colored carpets, live comfortably with casual furniture and light colored walls that open up the spaces without sacrificing the feeling of comfort. Her interiors offer a refuge of sort – that safe place we all want to achieve in our own homes.
As stated on her own site, Kelly “blends classic styles with unusual finds to create unique and comfortable rooms that allow you to live and breathe.”
Who wouldn’t want to live like that? I guess you could say I’m hooked on the idea of combining style with comfort. See what others are hooked on over at Hooked On Houses.
I love those red and white quilts!
Me too!
A very restful, relaxing style. These are great images! Have a great weekend…

Thanks, I’d never seen Kelly McGuill’s work and I do like it. I wouldn’t dare clutter up any of those rooms. Water views are always a good thing.
